Hello Bride-to-be and Welcome! This is such an exciting time for you! I’m Corrin and I am a wedding and anniversary photographer based in Northern Virginia! I am so excited that you found me, and because I believe that getting to know my clients is the #1 way to ensure an awesome experience, I’d love to tell you a little about me! Here are a few things you should know!
I document love stories for the joyful, crazy in love, laid back bride & groom. I'm a TV series junkie, a taco connoisseur, and a girl that dances in the car to almost every song! Oh yeah, and most importantly, I am a wife to my dorky and fun-loving husband and a dog mom to Lily, the cutest yellow lab out there.
Most days you'll find me on the couch in yoga pants and an oversized t-shirt with a messy bun and my pup in my lap. I live for the small moments, the small gestures, and the small acts of kindness that can completely transform your day. We only have one life, and I believe in making it count, eating brunch as much as humanly possible, and smiling whenever I can. Oh, and I strongly believe in a good nap. Always.

After we chat, you'll hopefully be as excited about me as I am about you! This is where the booking process starts and I make it super easy for you! I send you an online contract and an online invoice for the retainer. Once those two items are checked off, you will be a CJ Bride + Groom! It is that easy!

After you book, we’ll schedule your engagement session. And don’t worry, I’ll teach you EVERYTHING! I thrive at helping my couples get comfortable and feel like themselves. After the first 20 minutes of your session, you will be pros. Even if you think you’re not photogenic or if your fiancé “hates having pictures taken”, you will be killing it after 20 minutes have gone by! That’s all the time we need to get rid of nerves and start capturing the joy of this new season of your life together! After your engagement session, you’ll be featured on the CJ Blog and will also be sent your online gallery of images to download and share however you wish.

Your Wedding Day

After your wedding day is over, you will receive an online gallery full of all of your wedding memories! HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of them! I encourage our CJ Couples to sit down with a glass of wine (or marg) the night that their gallery goes live and enjoy reliving their wedding day through their images! Soon after your gallery is delivered, you will receive your album design (if you ordered an album!) and you can begin the customization process!

Your first decision as an engaged couple is to set priorities for your wedding planning. You have to decide what you value most. Is it the dress? The food? The venue? As a past bride AND photographer, I believe that couples should make their photography a top priority. After the big day is over, you will leave your reception with a spouse & your pictures.... that’s it! All of that planning and preparation is over in a matter of hours!

So if you’re choosing to invest in high quality photography, those images deserve a classy, elegant home after the wedding. I offer high end, leather bound Legacy Albums for my wedding clients. The images are printed straight onto the pages and the covers are wrapped with top of the line linen. This is the perfect ending to The Wedding Experience and it’s a keepsake that you will be showing your children and grandchildren one day!

After we make everything official and you all become a CJ Bride and Groom, we can start planning your engagement session!
You'll realize soon after your inquiry call with me that we are going to become lifelong friends, so with all new blossoming friendships, we gotta hang out. And no better way than at your engagement session!
These sessions allow the three of us to meet, get to know one another, and become the best of friends! My goal at the end of each session is for you two to have fun and focus on why we are doing all this in the first place... You're getting MARRIED! And have no fear, I know how it feels to be in front of the camera, it's a little nerve wracking, but I got you. I'll tell you exactly what to do, so at the end of the day, you'll receive images that you absolutely LOVE! And then on your wedding day, you are going to feel like pros, and your fiance will impress you with his modeling skills!
Your wedding images will be filled with moments and memories that you love and it all starts with the engagement session!
What's your shooting style?
I love being both interactive and discreet throughout the
wedding day. There will be parts of the wedding day when I will need to be in control in order to accomplish everything that needs to be done while staying on schedule. There will also be moments when you shouldn’t even know that I’m there. (The ceremony, during dances and toasts, etc.) I teach my couples how to pose, model and interact during their engagement session so they are naturals on the wedding day and don’t need quite as much instruction from me!

Do you have a second shooter?
All my collections include a second shooter! This is something I highly recommend and encourage my couples to book because my second shooter is there to capture everything I can’t. They will be with the groomsmen for getting ready while I’m with the bridesmaids, they will be sure to capture the groom’s face up close during the precessional while I’m photographing the bride walking down, and they will be shooting cocktail hour while I’m doing family portraits and bridal party! It’s also an awesome insurance policy knowing you have two people capturing all those important, once in a lifetime moments!!

How many hours do you recommend?
This totally depends on your wedding day, how many locations are involved, and if you want me to capture your exit! I don’t offer anything less than 8 hours because I want to photograph your day the best I can from the beginning to the end. I am there to tell your story and being there from getting ready to the reception is important for me to do that! I would say 8-9 hours is average to ensure I’m there for everything. As long as you’re not doing a super early ceremony with a late exit, 8-9 hours will cover your full day! 10 hours is for the people who are either doing an afternoon ceremony and still want me there to the end of the night or just want to ensure we have as much time for pictures!

Do you travel for engagement sessions and/or weddings?
Yes, Yes, YES! I am more than willing to travel for any and all shoots! I actually love it when my couples ask me to photograph them in a location that means something special to them! I've gone everywhere from Hawaii to Ireland!
I book engagement sessions at least two months in advance and 60 miles of travel are included.
